We encourage all parents to apply for the Youth Development Program (YDP), as it offers a smaller student-to-adult ratio. To start the year, Kindergarten and 1st-grade students will receive priority for the first 100 YDP spots, as there are no other after-school program options for them. To secure this priority, please submit your YDP application by 4:15 PM on May 27, 2025. After these kindergarten and first-grade spots are assigned, the number of available spots for other grade levels will be determined for the start of the new school year. The district plans to provide additional YDP coaches based on the total number of applications received, allowing more students to join. Parents are welcome to attend the public lottery, which will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 3:15 PM in the Vintage Library, to award the remaining initial 100 spots. Any other students who applied for YDP will be added as more coaches are hired during the first weeks of school. For complete details, please refer to the YDP letter included in your packet.
